Okinawa Kioshi Kempo
Kioshi
Kempo, Kiokoshiki Kempo Karate, and Shoalin Kioshi Kempo are the ways I have
heard this style be described as. The style is loosely based on Mas Oyamas
system ok karate.
The
system is a hard core external style, relying on speed, weight distribution,
and power of technique. The forms are practiced at full force and one should
you every ounce of energy they have when performing all the forms. Realistic
self defense is taught, and various sparring methods.
Shejan Herman
Gonzalez was my teacher for this system.
The forms
included in Kioshi Kempo are:
Henan 1,
Henan 2, Henan 3, Henan 4, Henan 5, which are similar to the pinan forms of
Japanese and Okinawa based arts. Kiokoshiki, Pai Sai Do, Saifisambi, and Kioshi
Ryzuka kata.
